01
The challenge
The existing funnel had several issues affecting both user experience and sales operations:
- An outdated design that lacked trust and credibility.
- Slow loading performance and high visitor drop-off.
- A traditional contact form that introduced friction early.
- No structured borrower qualification process.
- Disconnected CRM workflows and no centralized lead records.
- Limited conversion tracking for campaign measurement.
The challenge was not simply generating more inquiries. It was creating a system that could capture useful information and move leads into a consistent sales process.

What we changed
01. Modern Funnel Redesign
Rebuilt the funnel with a cleaner layout, clearer visual hierarchy, stronger CTA placement, reduced unnecessary content, and a more responsive mobile experience.
02. Progressive Lead Qualification
Introduced a guided survey that collected borrower goals, property intentions, financial context, loan requirements, and purchase timeframe before requesting contact details.
03. Performance Optimization
Optimized the funnel to improve loading performance and mobile usability, reducing unnecessary friction along the inquiry journey.
04. Tracking and Attribution
Integrated Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), Meta Pixel, and Meta Conversions API (CAPI) to support conversion measurement and advertising attribution.
05. CRM and Lead Automation
Connected GoHighLevel (GHL) and Google Sheets to centralize lead information, organize inquiries in a structured sales pipeline, and support automated follow-up workflows.
03
The transformation
The redesigned journey connects the complete lead generation process:
Ad Click → Funnel → Borrower Qualification → Lead Capture → CRM Pipeline → Sales Follow-Up
Marketing data and sales activity now work within a more connected workflow, giving the team a stronger foundation for managing inquiries and evaluating campaign performance.

04
The outcome
The project delivered a redesigned mortgage funnel and connected lead management system, with the following reported outcomes:
- PageSpeed performance score improved to 90+.
- A guided qualification experience replaced the traditional early-stage inquiry approach.
- Conversion tracking was implemented across Meta and Google measurement tools.
- Lead capture and CRM workflows were automated.
- A structured sales pipeline was established for follow-up.
05
The takeaway
More traffic does not automatically translate into more business. A stronger mortgage funnel combines a clear user experience, progressive qualification, reliable tracking, and an organized sales process.
By connecting these elements, Finance Mutual Australia gained a more scalable foundation for its lead generation and campaign optimization.
